Abstract
This dissertation investigates the factors influencing the complete recovery of children under three years of age suffering from protein-energy malnutrition, focusing on the identification of nutritional, socio-economic, and healthcare variables that impact recovery rates. Through a comprehensive quantitative analysis involving recovery outcomes, nutritional intake assessments, and demographic information from affected children and their families, the study identifies critical determinants of recovery, highlighting the significance of adequate nutritional support, socio-economic status, and access to healthcare services. Key findings reveal that enhanced nutritional interventions significantly correlate with higher recovery rates, while socio-economic barriers and limited healthcare accessibility serve as detractors from successful outcomes. These results underscore the urgent need for integrated healthcare strategies that address both nutritional needs and socio-economic challenges in vulnerable populations. The significance of these findings extends beyond clinical practice to inform policymakers and healthcare providers, offering evidence-based recommendations for improving malnutrition management in pediatric healthcare settings. Ultimately, this research contributes to a deeper understanding of protein-energy malnutrition recovery, suggesting that a multifaceted approach is essential for optimizing health outcomes in young children and shaping future public health initiatives aimed at addressing malnutrition on a broader scale.
