COMPARATIVE STUDY OF AYURVEDIC AND MODERN TREATMENTS FOR ACNE VULGARIS

Abstract

This dissertation evaluates the effectiveness and safety of Ayurvedic and modern treatments for Acne vulgaris, addressing crucial concerns regarding treatment efficacy and patient outcomes through a comprehensive analysis that incorporates both qualitative and quantitative data. Clinical trial results indicated that Ayurvedic treatments demonstrate comparable efficacy to modern interventions, with a notable emphasis on reduced side effects and improved patient satisfaction as evidenced by survey responses. In particular, participants receiving Ayurvedic therapies reported a significantly higher degree of overall satisfaction and fewer adverse effects, suggesting a favorable safety profile. The findings underscore the importance of integrating alternative treatment modalities into mainstream healthcare practices, highlighting the necessity for holistic approaches that address not only clinical outcomes but also patient perspectives on well-being. The implications of this research extend to the need for a paradigm shift in acne treatment strategies, urging healthcare practitioners to consider personalized treatment plans that include both traditional and contemporary practices.
