Abstract
This dissertation investigates the efficacy of the Typhoid conjugate vaccine in comparison to the Ty21a vaccine in preventing typhoid fever, addressing the critical issue of determining which vaccination strategy provides a superior immune response and overall effectiveness. Through the collection and analysis of quantitative data derived from clinical trials and field studies, the research focuses on infection rates, serological responses, and adverse effects, employing graphical bar charts and other visual tools to elucidate the comparative outcomes. The findings indicate that the Typhoid conjugate vaccine demonstrates a significantly higher immune response and lower infection rates compared to the Ty21a vaccine, suggesting a more effective strategy for typhoid prevention. These results hold substantial significance for public health, particularly in endemic regions where typhoid fever remains a persistent health threat, as they may influence vaccination policies and implementation strategies. The broader implications of this study extend to enhancing global vaccination efforts, potentially reducing the incidence of typhoid fever and contributing to improved health outcomes in vulnerable populations. By providing clear evidence of the superior efficacy of the Typhoid conjugate vaccine, this research supports the need for continued investment in vaccine development and distribution strategies intended to combat this preventable disease.
