This comprehensive review aims to critically examine the multifaceted contributions of pharmacy technicians, highlighting the expansion of their responsibilities, the advancements in their education and training standards, and the impact of these changes on healthcare delivery. By analyzing current practices, regulatory frameworks, and the integration of technology in pharmacy operations, this review sheds light on the challenges and opportunities faced by pharmacy technicians. Furthermore, it explores the potential future directions of the profession, emphasizing the importance of adapting to meet the dynamic needs of healthcare systems worldwide.
