VITILIGO: ETIOPATHOGENESIS, CLINICAL FEATURES, AND HOMOEOPATHIC MANAGEMENT

Abstract
Vitiligo is a chronic acquired depigmentary disorder characterized by the development of milky white macules and patches due to the destruction or functional loss of melanocytes. The disease affects approximately 0.5–2% of the world population and can occur at any age. Though not physically disabling or contagious, vitiligo has profound psychological and social implications, especially in darker-skinned individuals.¹
From a homoeopathic standpoint, vitiligo is considered a constitutional disorder, deeply rooted in miasmatic dyscrasia, requiring individualized treatment rather than local or suppressive measures.²
