Abstract
Moyamoya disease (MMD) is a rare, chronic, and progressive occlusive cerebral vasculopathy with no known aetiology. Surgical revascularization has been shown to be superior to medical treatment in preventing ischaemic and haemorrhagic strokes in MMD.
