Abstract

Background: Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia (VAP) is a prevalent healthcare-associated infection in intensive care units (ICUs), significantly increasing patient morbidity, mortality, duration of hospitalization, and overall healthcare costs. ICU nurses are the frontline caregivers for ventilated patients and play a pivotal role in VAP prevention through the implementation of evidence-based protocols.
